Good afternoon friends. Here’s our 225th donation:
A lady has recently relocated to Derby and sought safety in a refuge after fleeing a violent and controlling relationship. Having left her previous home with very few possessions, she is now facing the challenge of rebuilding her life while hoping to remain closer to her son.
She is experiencing significant financial hardship, with outstanding debts and rent arrears leaving her with very little money for food, utilities and other basic necessities. She is currently unable to work due to a combination of physical and mental health conditions, including mobility difficulties, and relies on Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment.
Despite these challenges, she has shown considerable resilience and determination. She is actively engaging with mental health and other support services, has made significant progress in her recovery from alcohol dependency and is working towards securing permanent accommodation.
A donation of £500 would help relieve her immediate financial pressures, provide some much-needed stability and support her as she continues to rebuild her life in safety.
