Do you know a family, or an individual struggling to pay for what many of us take for granted?

We adopted a national fund-raising concept and brought it to Derby to help those in need.

Our 500 Club is made up of members who pay just one pound a week so that £500 can be given to a worthy cause regularly.

We have given away thousands of pounds and have received nothing but positivity,  changing lives with gestures of kindness and cash. £500 might not sound like a lot of money to some people but when you are in need and have no means of finding it… it can be life changing.

Those who have been helped include:

• Funding to a young family needing to make a new home safe for baby and toddlers

• People experiencing financial hardship from illness and hospital appointments

• Equipment for meaningful activities to support rebuilding confidence, lifestyle and income generation following serious illness

• A single mum escaping domestic abuse needed basic furniture for a new home

• Clothes and food parcels for someone awaiting universal credit

• A single parent whose cooker broke and couldn’t afford another
